EMMANUEL BAPTIST RESCUE MISSION

Where the Old-Time Gospel makes men new

70 years ON SKID ROW // Since 1953

What We Do

We meet the urgent spiritual and physical needs of thousands of men and women in downtown Los Angeles 24/7, 365 days of the year.

Feed the Hungry

Approximately 5,000 meals a month cooked with love for the Lord in our own kitchen. Some food is donated but mostly we purchase from donations.

Clothe the Naked

From donated clothing we provide for one and all.

Preach the Gospel TO THE POOR

13 Gospel services a week by our staff preachers and visiting preachers from local churches. Meals served after the service.

Shelter the Homeless

After a soulful Gospel service and hot meal, men are registered for a hot shower and a clean bed for the night. Coffee and breakfast in the morning.

Discipleship

New converts are offered the opportunity to study the Bible and serve in fellowship for up to 1 year onsite.

WHO WE ARE

Emmanuel Baptist Rescue Mission is truly a lighthouse in a weary city full of danger, darkness, and despair. The men and women of Skid Row are impoverished both spiritually and physically with most bound by mental illness and addictions to drugs and alcohol in a culture of self-destruction. By providing for their basic physical needs such as food, clothing, and a bed for the night, hearts are receptive to the Gospel Message. Please pray for this ministry and consider giving as the Lord leads.
